Let’s start with clarifying some terms to avoid misunderstandings:

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

is usually defined as the ability of machines and software applications to perform tasks that normally require human thinking – such as learning from experience, recognizing patterns or solving complex problems.

Communication management

is what professionals in communication departments and agencies do: planning, executing and evaluating communication activities; advising (internal) clients; and taking care of structures, processes, people, data and other resources.

AI-based digital tools

used by communicators, or AI-based services provided by someone else, can be used for all aspects of communication management – from automation of translation, content creation, predictive analytics to reconfiguring internal workflows.

Please take a moment to reflect on how you are involved in AI-based communications and answer the following questions.
